Meet Mahasin

Mahasin is a practicing Maryland attorney and a proud product of Prince George’s County. She attended Thomas G. Pullen Creative and Performing Arts School and graduated from Suitland High School in 1999. She received her B.S. in Public relations from the University of Florida in 2003 and returned to Maryland to attend the University of Baltimore School of Law. After graduating from University of Baltimore in 2009, Mahasin served as law clerk to the Honorable Beverly J. Woodard, Associate Judge for Prince George’s County Circuit Court.

Mahasin’s litigation practice started at the Maryland Legal Aid Bureau, Inc. Metropolitan Office in Prince George’s County in 2010. During her time at Legal Aid, Mahasin provided pro bono legal representation to low-income clients in custody and divorce cases in Prince George’s, Howard and Montgomery counties. In 2014, Mahasin joined the Law Offices of Thomas V. Mike Miller, Jr., P.A., where she currently handles family, criminal, traffic and estate planning cases primarily in Prince George’s, Calvert, Charles, and Saint Mary’s counties. 

When Mahasin is not practicing law, she is serving the public through her memberships with the state and local bar associations. Mahasin is a board member and the Immediate Past President of the J. Franklyn Bourne Bar Association, Inc, the distinguished legal association for African-American attorneys in Prince George’s and Montgomery counties. As a member of the Prince George’s County Bar Association, Mahasin coached Friendly High School’s mock trial team in the Maryland State Bar Association’s Mock Trial Competition. She has also served as a mentor to newly admitted attorneys to the Maryland State Bar.  

In 2015, Mahasin was named as one of the Prince George’s County’s “Forty under 40”. She resides in Temple Hills, has a love for healthy living and is an avid marathoner. On November, 11, 2017, Mahasin completed her first 50 Mile race in Montgomery County, Maryland and she has traveled around the country competing in more than 10 marathons and countless half marathons. Mahasin is the daughter of the Honorable Hassan and Martha El-Amin and the last of their 7 children.
